Making a positive difference is what drives me, and I have achieved many things in the industry with this goal in mind. But what I treasure most is winning the trust and developing friendships with those I served which has enabled me to launch my own practice. I have an interest and an excellent understanding of financial risk, markets, financial products and services, all stemming from my long experience in the industry. 

The initial experience in finance, through investment banking and investment consulting was more focussed to institutions and corporates. But over the last ten years, my work has been about private clients and I have helped many clients to preserve and grow their investments. Ensuring my advice achieves the goals of my clients is a major focus. It’s very important for me to get to know someone, understand their needs, concerns and aspirations and develop that long-lasting relationship. It’s about winning that trust through constant dialogue, solutions and a personal service. Since joining SJP, I have expanded the range of services and products I can offer beyond just investments to provide a more rounded offering catering to all financial needs and aspirations including tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning and risk management.

I am a sportsman at heart and started out as footballer straight from secondary school and my claim to fame is I once played football alongside former England midfielder and manager Glenn Hoddle, as an apprentice at Swindon Town FC in the early 1990s. I have kept the sports interest going and I can be spotted taking part in 5-aside football every Friday. I have also taken a keen interest in discovering the countryside alongside my family here in the North and among my favourite places are Northumberland and the Lake District.
